Neither Sterling nor Sheridyn were looking for love when they met. Sterling was charming and had an unyielding way of working his swagger. Unwilling to make a commitment because of the baggage he carried from one personal failure after another, led him straight into the arms of Sheridyn. 

Sheridyn’s witty banter made her alluringly sexy. Her addictive personality and flawless smile sent Sterling’s curiosity into overdrive. Unfortunately, Sheridyn had not healed from the hurt of a past relationship but that didn’t matter, she was mesmerized by Sterling’s charisma.

Sometimes where we start determines how we end. Sterling never imagined Sheridyn outside the bedroom, so the possibility of a full blown relationship didn’t exist. Sheridyn poised herself for a place in Sterling ’s life and in his heart, but settled for a place in his bed. The passion between them was so sensual and their connection surreal, Sterling thought anything that good was never meant to last forever.  Sterling perceived Sheridyn as that “special friend” that he shared intimacy with, but Sheridyn desired exclusivity from Sterling, neither one ever sharing their thoughts with the other. Just when Sheridyn thought she was gaining ground with Sterling, he would disappear from her life, each time resurfacing in synch.

The on again off again song lasted 10 years as Sheridyn put her life on hold waiting for Sterling to get himself together. Sterling was secure with his position in Sheridyn’s life and the thought of her ever choosing another man never crossed his mind.  Just when you think the rhythm and time are in sequence, Sterling stops the dance. Sheridyn realizes songs are timeless, melodies may be the same, but dances never last forever.           

Throughout their story, the audience is entranced in Sterling and Sheridyn’s dance. The audience is engaged by the ability to identify with the characters in a straight forward down to earth format that cleverly wraps nuggets of wisdom that speaks to the soul and ministers to the audience’s heart. Rhythm Can’t Keep Time is not a sappy love story or an unrealistic male-bashing narrative but the exploration of love through an erotic lens.
